Bridging the Skills Gap

3/5/2012 8-10 am
A-B Tech Enka Site – Candler

There’s a shortage of qualified local employees.  Buncombe County’s unemployment rate is 8%.  MadisonCounty’s unemployment rate is just under 9%.  Join us to discuss how we can bridge this skills gap.

Our business community’s success lies in our workforce. Your business’ input is critical to strengthening that workforce.  Please join the Asheville Chamber and the Economic Development Coalition on March 5 for a Skills Gap Symposium, 8-10 a.m. at the A-B Tech Enka Campus.  The Symposium, sponsored by A-B Tech and UNC Asheville, will drill down into your industry’s trends and workforce needs.  Your feedback will build vital training to bridge the gap between WNC unemployment and your skill needs.  This event is free; please see RSVP information below.

When:   Monday, March 5, 2012- 8-10 a.m.
Where:  A-B Tech Enka Campus, Haynes Center, Room 200, 1459 Sand Hill Road, Enka
RSVP:  Shaana Norton, 254-1921, Ext. 7566 or snorton@abtech.edu
