Meet The Geeks, the region’s only non-profit, all volunteer technology organization, is hosting a celebration of its 7th anniversary. All technology professionals, entrepreneurs, students, or others interested in understanding, promoting, connecting, or socializing are welcome to attend. The event will be held 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. at Scully’s, 13 W. Walnut Street, Wednesday, March 28.

“We are extremely proud and excited about this anniversary event to celebrate our accomplishments and bring together many of our 900 members, and recognize those who have and continue to support us in our goals.” indicated Board Chair Brian Beaudet.

The goal of the organization is to build a network of professionals across all Information Technology (IT) sectors – from development to recruiting, programming to capital – that promotes relationships and the cross pollination of ideas that will foster growth in Western North Carolina. This is accomplished through networking events, free technical training, and community engagement.
